Still in a food coma?

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!  I was very thankful that one of my relatives always thinks of me at Thanksgiving and makes a healthy dish.  So along with my roasted vegetables, there was a salad consisting of fresh spinach, golden beets, dried cranberries, and goat cheese.  It was delicious!!! I definitely think I will be making some kind of version of this salad for Christmas.

Now that the weekend is over, it is time to get rid of that ‘food baby’ you might have created over the weekend.  Don’t forget about starting your morning off with a cup of warm water and fresh squeezed lemon juice (using about 1/4 to 1/2 of a lemon).  It is said that lemon water helps kick start and improve the functioning of your digestive system, boosts metabolism, and detoxify your body.  Sounds like exactly what many people need after the holiday!
